Why on earth is this happening??
I think it’s too much to view a pet that you eat, sleep with, and live with for years as a simple object. However, if you put its value as a family member at risk, you can never ignore the possibility that it will be exploited.
For example, someone might throw a stray cat that can’t speak out onto a road with a lot of traffic and say, “The car hit my precious cat.”
It’s a bit scary, but it’s said to be similar to the reason why there is no child life insurance among the numerous insurance products.
Currently, in Korea, according to Article 732 of the Commercial Act, all life insurance contracts for children under the age of 15 who have difficulty expressing their intention to subscribe to insurance are invalid. Rather than discussing the legal value of pets,
we should become adults who can first teach them the dignity of life.
