I’m stressed out these days whenever my birthday comes. I get a lot of birthday congratulatory messages from all over the place, and I’m so grateful. But the problem seems to be the gifts that come with the messages.
Some people might say, “This kid is full,” but I’ll have to return it all later.. And if it’s a gift like Starbucks or chicken, I’ll probably use it someday, but I often get diffusers or hand washes, but men don’t really use these things.
I’m so grateful, but I have to return all the gifts I received, and there are some who get upset when I send them something cheaper than what they received. So I have to give them something more expensive. It’s burdensome because the cost of birthday celebrations seems to exceed a million won a year. In the past, I would have pretended not to know and quietly let it go, but these days, Kakao kindly informs all my friends of their birthdays.
Even the ones who gave me gifts were marked separately, so the excuse that I didn’t know doesn’t work anymore. Of course, there’s a recent gift rejection button, so I can cancel it, but how do I reject a gift that was sent to me with common sense? But after the usage period, I can get a 90% refund to my account, If I receive this in money, the other person can check it, and if they find out later, They’ll say, “I didn’t like the gift, so tell me?” and be really upset,,,, It’s good to send gifts easily, but I miss the days when I used to say, “Hey, it’s your birthday, right? I’ll buy you a meal” like my friends when I was young.
