Today is Part 2 of preventing new lease scams that I posted a while ago. If you live in Korea, you must be aware of this. In particular,
I think some homeowners might not like this. Is there a reason why the jeonse scam, which is the biggest issue in Korea these days, doesn’t stop happening?
This is because even if there was no problem at the time of signing the jeonse itself, it happens later. There may be dozens of cases, but in the end, if the landlord does not or cannot return the deposit, it is a lease fraud.
But there is a very easy way to know this in advance and prepare for it for free.
first
Everyone probably has the Kookmin Bank app on their smartphone, so just type registration in the search bar here. (You can also go to Menu – Life – Registration Change Notification Service) Then,
you can immediately see that there is a real estate registration change notification service.
If you go in, you will see changes regarding changes in landlords and registration of foreclosure mortgages. It says it will be sent
All you have to do is activate notifications here and click Use Service! Then, you can register up to three houses you want, and if there is a change in registration, you can be notified on the same day or at the latest the next day.
It’s great, right? The problem these days is that the landlord changes without my knowledge and mortgages and foreclosures occur.
It’s too late to find out what was set up, but you can deal with this very quickly.

And this function is currently available in three places: Kookmin Bank, Hana Bank, and K Bank. It is provided free of charge even if it is not my main bank.
You can view a copy of the register by paying 1,000 won on the safe charter app, so please search for it in a way that is convenient for you.

and the second Go to Government 24 now and type move-in report in the search box in the middle. Then there is a move-in report notification service.
Here, you will be notified immediately of things you did not know about, such as a move-in report or a change in the head of the household,
which you could not receive from the registration change notification earlier. There are many types of fraud these days,
such as someone moving into my house without my knowledge or the landlord moving me out and taking out a mortgage, but these can be prevented.
It’s free, and if you do it once, you’ll be able to detect and prepare for most rental scams in advance, so I hope you’ll apply at least for the future.
